DIY Install Your Benchtop

Most customers can install their Quantum Benchtop Water Filter in just a few minutes using the included fittings and adaptors. Simply follow the step-by-step guide below.

Follow these simple steps to install your benchtop water filter

Identify If You Have an Aerator

Check your tap type and remove the aerator if required.

Identify Your Tap Thread

Determine whether your tap thread is internal or external.

Identify the Adaptor You Need

Measure your tap and match the correct adaptor.

STEP 1 - WHAT TYPE OF TAP DO YOU HAVE?

Select your tap type below to find the right installation path for your Quantum Benchtop Water Filter.

A) Standard Mixer Tap

You will notice at the end of the faucet there will be a small piece that is able to be screwed on / off.

Go to Step 2
B) Internal Aerator

These require a special aerator key available for purchase HERE.

Go to Step 2
C) No Aerator

C) No Aerator

You will notice an open end on your tap with no aerator or thread visible.

Go to Step 3
D) Retractable / Veggie Sprayer Tap

Due to the design of the retractable or veggie sprayer tap, a bench top filter is unable to be attached correctly. You may want to consider installing an under sink filter.

STEP 2 — IDENTIFY YOUR TAP THREAD

Once your aerator has been removed you need to determine the thread type.

A) Internal / Female Thread

The thread is on the inside of the tap. This will need a male adaptor.

Go to Step 3
B) External / Male Thread

The thread is exposed and is on the outside of the tap. This will need a female adaptor.

Go to Step 3

STEP 3 — IDENTIFY THE ADAPTOR SIZE YOU NEED

In this step you need to measure the diameter of your aerator or the end of your tap in millimetres (mm) to match the size of the tap adaptor in the next step.

After you have removed the aerator, use a ruler to measure the diameter (mm) of your aerator for an internal / female thread.

External / Male Thread

Use a ruler to measure the diameter (mm) of the end of your tap for external / male thread.

No Aerator

Using a ruler, measure the diameter (mm) of the end of your tap opening.
